Welcome to the Fayette County Foundation. Founded in 1986, the Fayette
County Foundation is the community's resource for charitable giving.
The Foundation is proud to be a vehicle for people from all walks of
life to improve our community through charitable giving.
The
mission of the Fayette County Foundation is to inspire a spirit of
philanthropy in Fayette County by enhancing the quality of life through
impactful grantmaking, strategic endowment building, and community
leadership.
In
1986, the Greater Connersville Progressive Committee put in motion the
development of the Fayette County Foundation. The tri - chairpersons:
Robert E. Price, Harold Reihman and Jerry Wilson saw a need to develop
a community foundation to help seed important community initiatives.
From its humble beginnings with $20,000, to today's endowments of over
$8 million, the Fayette County Foundation's success has been a result
of the generosity of the people of our community.
Our staff's, personalized
services have helped individuals, families, and businesses create more than 100 permanent funds
with gifts and bequests. These unique funds are as varied as the donors who create them. The funds
range in value from $5,000 to millions of dollars, and support a variety of community needs.
A
fifteen member Board of Directors govern the Fayette County Foundation.
Directors determine policy, endowment development, and provide
oversight of the Foundation's operations. The Foundation serves the
entire county by assisting donors and meeting community needs.
