Foundation Scholarship Endowment Awards: Caitlyn Logan
Caitlyn Logan, the daughter of Chuck and Marci Logan, all of Connersville, received the Fayette County Foundation Scholarship, an endowment of the Fayette County Foundation. This scholarship requires that applicants have at least a 3.0 GPA, are a graduating senior of Connersville High School.
The Fayette County Foundation Scholarship, a general scholarship, was created in memory of Jennifer George, Marilyn Huth, and Rosalie Nash. The Fayette County Foundation’s mission is to promote positive and sustainable change in our community. We connect donors and nonprofit agencies to improve the quality of life in our community. We help strengthen nonprofit agencies to better respond to community needs with financial support and capacity-building programs by providing grants from its unrestricted endowment and discretionary funds as well as from donor-advised funds. The Foundation is uniquely qualified to steward the hopes and dreams of the people that care deeply about an organization or cause by carrying out donors’ philanthropic visions after they are gone. Endowments can be created now through estate planning to ensure that future generations will benefit from your legacy.
Caitlyn Logan plans to attend IUPUI to pursue a degree in dental hygiene. Caitlyn was a member of Spartanettes throughout high school, and participated with the golf team as well. Caitlyn worked at Showtime Cinemas and also interned at Christie Family Dentistry. Caitlyn hopes to one day be your local hygienist, commenting, “I truly love my community and I hope everyday that once I graduate, I am able to come back to Connersville and work in a dentist’s office in my hometown. I hope to make my hometown proud throughout college by making good grades and succeeding at everything I hope to, and not disappoint along the way.”
This year the Foundation awarded 34 scholarships to 19 students with $100,337 in tuition funds awarded.
